11-year old Dannielle Brown took the taunts about her weight and turned them into motivation
to make positive changes in her life. Earlier this year, Dannielle got involved with Louie’s Kids, and signed up for the Family Race Club’s weekly workout program.
A few month’s into the program, she is already making significant strides. She now has more confidence, and the workouts have brought more than just physical benefits, she is also doing better in school. Dannielle has shared with others that she has never worked so hard at something, and now she is applying the work ethic to her school work as well.
The hard work comes with additional motivator that isn’t about her, but that of her little brother. When she needs to dig deep, she thinks about being the role model she needs to be to her brother. She doesn’t want him going through the same bullying ordeal that she has encountered.
Her commitment to herself, and her family brought her to running the 39th Cooper River Bridge Run. Learn more about Dannielle from ABC News4
